Название "2008", и тем более "После 2009", мне не нравится. Человек существо вне-историческое: вся его свзь с историей ограничена датами его рнождения и смерти, еще именем на могильной плите.

Зачем мне история? Я рад, что обьявили о том, что она закончилась.

Рад, потому что в историю я не попал.

Обидно и стыдно: лучше, чтобы историю вовсе отменили. Я не только от своего имени говорю, нас, таких, подавляющее большинство.

New-New-Russia and Putin's Logic

Putin's ratings are based not only on oily-years, but on finding a channel for post-Soviet frustration -- we and the Enemy. After trying several ex-Soviet republics for this role of enemy, Kremlin focused on Georgia. There is some logic in this madness -- Georgia is the most suitable candidate to cast as the Enemy. No need to list all the point why it's the right choice in the game Moscow has to play in the Newest Times.
Without "Enemy" Putin's Russia has no future; the threat must be present and Georgia is a perfect "actor" to play this part.
I read Fingelgaur (sp.) and I like what I read, but I do not think that the change of the government of Georgia is the Putin's goal, but having Georgia as potential foe indefinitely -- yes. Without Saakashishvili Kremlin will be forced to look for another candidate for the role of the (sizable) enemy. Russia faces too many real problems to go to war with Georgia. Even 8.8.8 was a "show" -- act and demonstration...
